Vermouth Artesanal Lucendo

A wise blend of aromatised sweet wines and mistelas. It is an original recipe from the great-great-grandfather of Rafael and Federico Lucendo, who was Italian by birth. But it is also the fruit of their great-grandfather's experience, a master of maceration with wormwood, gentian, cinnamon, clove, orris root, quinine and a hundred more herbs that give this wonderful vermouth its identity. Some vermouths lean sweet, others lean bitter, but this one sits squarely in the middle, and that balance is simply pure magic.

Winemaking

An Airén base wine is made and aged in barrel, and the botanicals are added to it. Among them: wormwood, ginger, gentian, elderflower, chamomile, liquorice, juniper, cardamom, cinnamon, clove, vanilla, citrus peel (orange and grapefruit), aniseed, fennel, mint, orange blossom, cumin, quinine, marjoram, oregano, thyme, rosemary, saffron and more.

House recommendation

Serve very cold or over ice with a slice of orange; try squeezing it in for a different touch. A pleasure at aperitif time.
